About the artist

YOZO is a self-taught Japanese artist with over 25 years of creative experience, guided solely by passion and intuition. His journey began with a painting made to comfort his ailing mother-a single act of love that marked the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of expression. From that heartfelt moment, YOZO has turned personal challenges, including mental health struggles and years of caregiving, into powerful works of art that connect deeply with viewers around the world.

Blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary techniques, YOZO's work spans mediums such as watercolour, oil, and acrylic. His evolving style ranges from bold and chaotic to calm and contemplative, reflecting the emotional spectrum of human life. Each piece radiates resilience, offering encouragement, empathy, and moments of peace.

In 2021, he established YOZO ART GALLERY in Kyoto. Expanding internationally, he began activities in London in 2025, reaching a broader audience and growing collector base across Europe. His works are often described as "so interesting"-a simple yet genuine reaction that captures their heartfelt impact.
